Over 50 short student films were submitted to the C.U.F.F. festival this past month. They came in the form of narratives and documentaries, comedies and dramas and animations. In an interview with Philmalot, C.U.F.F. founder, Craig Strimel said, he was astounded by the level of quality each of the student films possessed. The following is a list of the award winning films that were picked by a panel of professors and filmmakers as works that stood out in a crowd of very well made student shorts. Some of these will be posted here and on Philmalot’s YouTube channel, shortly.

C.U.F.F. Best film by a 2-year student (2:00): William Rodriguez, Bloody Mary.

C.U.F.F. Best film by a 4-year student (10:00): Marc Bonfiglio, We’re All Going to Die. (animated)

C.U.F.F. Best film by a 4-year student (2:00): Ka Young Ryu, Whiney. (animated)

Best High school film (10:00): Ashley McCann, Pain

Best High school film (2:00): Bennett Weiss and August Lilly, The Mystical Journey.
