Philadelphia’s own Bruce Willis will star in the fifth, yes, you heard correctly, fifth installment of the Die Hard franchise. “It’s A Good Day to Die Hard” will be directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines) and is set for a February 2013 release. Shooting of the film starts in January 2012. The story by screenwriter Skip Woods (The A-Team) will be set in Russia and chronicle what happens to Jon McClane when he goes to the foreign country to attempt to get his son released from prison. Rumor has it that the film could feature Paul Walker as McClane’s son, and a return for Justin Long and Mary Elizibeth Winstead from the previous film, Live Free or Die Hard.
Fans and critics of the franchise have taken to Twitter and other forums to voice their opinions on the new film, it’s title and rumored stars. You can add your thoughts here. What do you think of the title? Is a fifth Die Hard film one to many? Can Bruce Willis continue his run as Jon McClane, or is it time for another star to take over the franchise?
